Sophia the Human: When will I find love again?

Dear Paws to Talk,

It has been nearly a year since I broke up with my fiancé.  The situation was completely heartbreaking but I have emerged from it a stronger person.

Now that my wounds are well on their way to being closed, I wonder when I might find the love of my life. I feel confident that he is out there.

I am able to be comfortable on my own but want to share my life with someone. When do you think I will find my great love?

Howl Sophia,

I am overwhelmed with your courage. Ending that relationship must have been the most difficult thing you have ever done especially, if the wedding cake was already made.

I know you are eager to share your life with another human but remember to be patient. You have experienced a large trauma in your life. It is okay to still cry or be angry.  After all, your life did not turn out the way you thought it would.

I am still looking for my true love too. There is no way to know when we will meet our mates. However, each day I work on myself by doing things I enjoy and trying to help others. During this time, make sure you are participating in activities that fulfill you.

Also, I am thinking about joining an online dating site (more on that in a later post). It seems to be an effective way to meet mates. Are you enrolled on a dating site or in a matchmaking program? If not, then do it. You have to let males know that you are on the market.

Whatever you do, don’t give up the belief that your great love is out there. I believe he is.

In the meantime, remember the dinner scene from Lady and the Tramp. For now, all we can dream about is someone to share spaghetti with.
